Obtaining Service Records
Hi,
New to this board and BMW ownership. I have had my 1999 328i conv for a few months now and like it a lot. I would like to find out what service has been done on the car and the previous owner has no printed records. My local dealer (Princeton BMW), tells me that only the dealer who did the service can generate a record, which surprised me. Is anyone out there aware of a way to look up any BMW dealer service done on a specific VIN? Thanks, Mike Reily

Hi I have an acoount w/ BMW owner circle I recommend you to join. It list all service records done at the dealer only. It is recorded w/ your account name however previous owner records cannot be retrieve by you but your local dealer can & they can print this. This has no cost, but I suggest ask for this on you next service w/ them to print everything they have on records w/ your VIN #.

I forgot to mention every time you get a receipts fro the Dealer servicing your car on top has a lit of previous records of service done. You can ask the previous owner if he/she still have any receipts.
