I have a template for the screen. Use gutter screen from HD or Lowes. Anyone interested PM me and I'll send it.

Chewie, is it the blue and white Randy Mamola bike? The prices in the UK seem to be very strong for these, especially low mileage ones. As nice looking as they are with that paint I’m surprised that they fetch what they do. You can buy a nice 1100S for £2500-£3000, but a Randy bike can be £6500 or more.
I had a recent ride on a modern BMW and it was so much easier (nicer?) to ride than the Behemoth of my 1100S. I wondered what the heck I’m doing with such an outdated lump when my ride could be sweeter. I’m determined to take the 1100S through 100K though and I have a long way to go yet. The downside of being bloody minded!

Still looks good and not outdated. I parked it outside a bar last week, I had 4 person an hour stop and make a round of the bike, comment, and point a pretty bits.

It's not just a 20 year old bike, it is a 20 year old BMW. Perhaps the only way to appreciate it is to ride a 40 year old BMW. If you're familiar with BMWs, you'll dig the 1100S.

Like an old tube amplifier? Like a Moby Grape album on a turntable with a nice Shire cartridge?

Try it for about 10,000 miles and see how you like it.

It's the Blue, Red and White one, the one with the bunch of stickers on the belly pan.

They have nearly outdone the R1200S here in $ terms but this one has been dropped, the fello still has not replied and it's still for sale - I really think he isn't checking his emails from the bike sales advertising place

If it was my money that bike wouldn’t be good enough most of the photos are ‘Classic tell/show you nothing except the one you can blow up scabby bottom yoke and rusty caliper bolts doesn’t strike me as being particularly well looked after.

^ it's Interstate as well which makes it a little more problematic in terms of having a good look at it

two different wheels...maybe he went for a larger rear width but a BCR has that already.

In the states we would say that is an 05, based on the paint.

My '04. These are fairly cheap in the US, not easy to sell either

They came with the two different wheels.

These bikes have never been easy to sell either. Even in the early days.

Gutter screen from Home depot. It comes coated with a light coat of black plastic feeling stuff. Really nice. $3.50. It's a lot of work to get the bike apart. But it fits between the front yellow part and the black duct right behind it.

I assume that this transaction is dead and kaput.

Is it hard to find nice R1100S bikes in Australia?
You can get pristine examples here for between $3,500 and $6,000 depending on what your looking for and how price sensitive you are.

p.s. those screens are useful on Jeeps too:

So Chewie, I see the RWB BCR sold. Did you buy it? I was toying with the idea as $7k was reasonable value but no doubt my Mrs would be most upset if I took my 11S stocks to four.

Absolutely a sexy machine. Love mine and still really like my 05-1200 sportster. Also a bit breathed on. Nothing I have stays stock for long. Lol...

Enjoy the ride...

No, not me - no response, I assume he finally looked at his emails and responded to the oldest request or sold it through another medium

There is a nice R1100S in my state for $6k with 34000kms in yellow, states must sell cant ride it anymore, make an offer...but I was more after that boxer cup series.

I have enquired about the Rockster which is pretty cool but it's $840 just to ship it here which turns it from a 6k bike into a 7k bike - it's not the end of the world but at those low numbers an extra $1000 seems like a lot
