BMW Motorrad - Smartglasses

Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, perhaps of interest to some:

Yep, posted it on R1200GS forum & got 1 response there. Doesn't seem to be of much interest & expensive to boot.

I'd be interested if I was using the Connected Ride system. This competes the system, so why not be interested? HUD is cool technology. But I'm not going down that route. I have yet to install my Navigator on my R1200RS, and I still use a tank bag with a paper map in the window. I reference the map whenever I stop for gas, which means that I'm in touring mode. Locally, I don't need either. Good stuff, those Smart Glasses, though. And I don't think they're overpriced for what you get.

If they were those X-Ray specs like in the back of comic books I'd be more interested...

Would make more sense if they could record (like the RayBan specs). Then I could possibly consider these.

I can see one possible problem with these Smart Glasses. What if the user needs prescription glasses? Maybe BMW has a correction feature built in - dunno. Any optometrists out here that care to weight in?

I'd like to see a video of what this looks like. Maybe they could include AR features like you are riding through rings of fire or have herds of buffulo running on each side of you or those dinosaurs from Jurrasic Park you know or riding in traffic and all the cars are on fire. The riding features today are so passe.

I don't like the idea of them and don't want one more device to charge.

So, I'm guessing you're not looking for one of these either...
