R1100S seat cowl hardware

Hello, all, hoping someone can help get me sorted out here. I'm trying to retrofit my 1999's seat back to stock from a Corbin , which came with the bike. I got an '03 seat to fit the bike perfectly, but can't mount the seat cowl now. I understand there's a difference in hardware between early and later models, can anyone tell what I have from the pictures here? The pins are WAY too large in diameter to go into the socket. Thanks!
Socket in the seat

socket removed

The pin that is too big

The pin in the last photo looks correct to me (for stock). I know you can purchase (order) the pins from your dealer. They're only a few bucks each.

You seem to have the older pins. The later type 2004 are screw type but with a very odd thread.

You can only get the newer style pins & socket from dealers unless you get lucky & they have old stock. I had to replace both when an old style pin fell out while riding. The new pins are metal not plastic and they lock in better.

I may have two '99 sockets; but, they are in NC and I'm not. If you can wait a while I'll check them out when i go back up.

Thank you, gentlemen. Since the seat is off an '03 and the cowl is '99, it appears I'll either need 2 old style sockets or 2 new style pins. I appreciate you identifying what I have, I almost ordered WAY too much stuff from Max

Rydor - hold off on buying anything if you haven't already. I just picked up two new style pins from Max and I'm not certain but I think I have old-style small diameter 'sockets' on both of my seats. If I can't use these I'll flip them to you with free postage if you're interested. I'll confirm tonight.

Nope, I was wrong - I have the newer larger diameter sockets and the new pins fit.

Anyone know a source for old style pins? I've just bought a cowl for my '00 (which never had one) and I'm pretty sure that I need a pair of old pins to fit it on.
Ideas?

You may consider getting the entire new type of assembly as it seems that the older design had a tendency to let the cowl fly away. I don't know how much work the change is though.

Could anyone post a photo of the new-style pin and receptacle? TIA
