Yet another new guy

Hi everyone,
I posted a question a while back but never really properly introduced myself. Got my Black R12s in early September with Ohlins, wide rear and heated grips. I absolutely love the bike, there are very few r12ses here in New Mexico, or so it seems so far. Here is a picture just north of Durango, Co from a trip three weeks ago, just before the snow.

...Nice bike... black... as some will try to tell you, the fastest color... but Candy Cane is the funniest!

don't worry about Ralf, he wishes he had a black 'stealth' bike instead of that candy cane beautiful bike that police loving looking at.

Steve has a proper bike.

Hello Robert, good to hear your pleased with the beast, my short demo ride two months ago has escaped my senses so I know not of this you speak...but soon I trust I will.

How mountainous is NM, or river roads for that matter? do you have numerous twisties to choose from?

Jeff would know... he has made plenty of "Aquaintances" with the police over the years... LOL!!!

Mind you, he's riding a blue and white bike... he's riding style is very laid back and gentle and his personality is rather inconspicuous...

Great guy, other than that...

that cut deep, I mean I personally love the talks I have with the police when they pull me over. It very enlightening

Now as for my 'timid' riding style, and reclusive personality......well we should all be so lucky

BTW it looks like their will be 5 triple crown rides next year. Will post dates on sunday,(and yes Ralf your are invited to ALL of them. But no pool diving

Ok, I let it go when the triple crown had 4 rides, but shouldn't it really be the Quint Crown now?

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I bought my black bike only about 15minutes after I got off a yellow demo R12s. Went on about a 50 min demo ride, dealer just said take your time, so I did. I just couldn't leave without buying the black one from the showroom.

NM has quite a bit of moutainous road, lots of desert too and river roads as well. Elevations range 4k-13?k feet above sea level. The Sandia peak road is within 15 minutes and it is about 20miles of twisties from 6k up to 10k feet. Lots of cool rides. I will try to post some ride reports soon.

see what you started, Ralf has color issue,(tan skin, pink arse

), john has a mother in law issue,(she's a nice lady), and is confused about the beauty of expanding the Triple Crown to the Western States whilst still calling it a 3 ride series,(which it has never been

). The answer is because we are bad with numbers

What we need here is to see your bike in person. AZ is not to far away, you have 6 months to prepare, get some riding boots, get some leg protection, and join us for a ride.

Nice bike, and it sounds like a real nice area. I used to live in Alamogordo, and there was lots of nice riding in southern NM also.

if you stumble/trip your way back through history, you'll discover that the Triple Crown always said "Ride all Four".
This year, with the addition of Roger's AZ leg, it simply becomes The Triple Crown: "Ride all Five".

Incidentally, one of the main reasons we're releasing the dates and locations so early this season is for all of you who have Parole Officers that need to be notified about your out-of-state AZ visit.
Roger has graciously contacted his local Parole Office, so you guys can check in upon arrival.

(okay, that's a bunch of BS. I'm only kidding....

...Roger has no intention of helping you check in with your P.O. when visiting AZ.)

Dates, what dates?

I think I have a few numbers as a result of a DDS we all know daydreaming during a root canal and rattling some stuff over a bad cell connection while being ( what sounded like ) scolded by office personnel to get back to work.

Those dates?

Brad, does the 'California' part of the 'California Triple Crown' go away, or can it be the 'California Triple Crown Plus' or 'Grande'?

You should REALLY think about that... your life may never be the same after meeting this dysfunctional bunch...

I can virtually guarantee you that it will never be the same if you pass Cindy closely on the inside and blip your throttle while next to her...!
