Although, this one takes the cake, clearly... or better yet, colorfully!
![]() ...it's hard to understand/fathom, if you don't look at it in reality... it's surreal. ![]() ...a different perspective... ![]() And the shady characters again... ![]() ...I couldn't get enough of this... ![]() ![]() ...a couple of smaller ones... still hot though, as the "finger" test revealed... YOWZAH! ![]() ...and the ever so debonaire Mr. Suave... cleaning his Tent... I personally can not believe he even carried that stuff, but hey... if you have three nationalities and can not make p your mind, everything is possible... Still love him!

Heck, Ralph is lucky to have a head at all!! Denton Turner a friend of mine was attacked by a Grizz a few years back in Yellowstone. Fortunately for him the bear just chewed on his tricep, stuck a claw right above the lung, and moved on. Yes she had a cub. It was a life changing experiance for Denton. Denton has now been on Animal Planet and is enterviewed occassionaly on talk shows in New Zealand and other places.
When doing the reenactment for Animal Planet , they rolled up with the grizz in the cage, he got a little nervous. Imagine that!!

...last leg, I should be home tonight. After 3 months and about 16000 miles, it will be a weird feeling, I am sure. I have mixed emotions about it, but I also am very much looking forward to seeing my son tomorrow. I have missed the hell out of the bugger.
I have some more pictures and stuff that I will post, once all is sorted out... including me. Thank you all for following my journey and for the words of wisdom, encouragement and harassment. It would not have been the same without it. Special thanks go to the people who hosted me, old and new friends and I am very happy to have run into all of you. I also wanted to thank the folks who wanted to host me, but whos locations I never reached because of changes in plans. This trip has definitely been a life-changing experience and as such, is in the memory banks forever. I have written close to 100000 words about this journey and will spent the next couple of months, finalizing the write-up. After that, who knows... I need to find a job and then hopefully plan the next journey... Tierra del Fuego is way up on the list. I have learned a lot... about this country and the other one up north, about people and last but not least... myself. It was a good trip.

What a joy this whole thread has been Ralf! You have been so kind to report it all, good/bad/unexpected/and planned. Even though some of us remember the road and the trip up there from a different era........some things have not changed......and you brought those memories home to me. Thanks brother and happy riding forever to you!

Report Has Its Faults
I say that Ralf because you did such a great job on the trailer that no one will have to buy the book.
![]() The number of hits and replies really says it all. I still want a photo of all the stuff you took but did not use.

Bubba, I took some 4000+ pictures... many of the same subject, just with different settings. Right now, I am trying to sift through and create a Photo Book...
I have now written over 150000 words and 230 pages, no worries... there is a lot more to read than was written here... and, who knows whether it'll ever be published to begin with. The reason I have started writing was for myself. The book will cover my youth and the beginnings as well as some TC rides and the Trip... In the end, I am happy...
