My 1st trip ever on a Motorcycle

We planned this trip last winter. Here is the Idea......
2 couples with 3 motorcycles.
1 experience driver black K1200GT
Is girlfriend driving her brand new F800 first motorcycle
Me (also new driver for couples of months) and my wife on a silver K1200GT first time with a passenger
Trip: depart from Montreal,Québec....visit New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and back to Montreal via Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont USA
Total: more than 5000KMs in 17 days rain or shine

Fun way to see the word,, EH?

I just got back from a Cali ride to Vic B.C. over there on the other coast, my r1100s was flawless in 2500 miles..

I did that trip also in a motorhome 3-4 years ago....very nice coast line!!!

When I came back from that long trip with my K1200gt fully loaded (1100-1200 lbs with bags and passenger) , I found my R1200S very very light!!!!

heyo nice riding gear the ladies are sporting there. Irode barefoot a few times but rarely wear flip flops these days!

I was in your area of operations last summer. More wet than dry, but it was beautiful country no less. Especially NS.

The yellow stripes on the black wheels is cool.

Tks, we were lucky....3 days of rain in 17 days but when it did !!!!!

nice

did almost the same route on car with the family

the roads were nice, people were nice, crossed 0 police officers and the traffic flow had a nice pace to it

my big trip is at the end of the month 3.3k km in a week


how is the 800 ? always loved the looks of that bike..

You are right, road are near perfect with very nice traffic flow...0 police and very good Lobster and beer

As for the F800, it was flawless, she really like the feel of it, the low seat setting, the weight, the sound, the look and also the functionality. One dislike is the lower seat can become very hot at low speed with the engine heat so near.

Be safe and a lot of sunshine for your big trip!

The Cabot Trail run was one of the high points of my trip to NS. Did you per chance make it out to Meat Cove? Lots of whale watching and Eagles both gold and bald. That was the best of the best. Nice to have a backseater on a photo run like that.
