I would agree, I had a 2005 R1200RT last year and managed to ride it over 10,000 miles in about 5 months. I installed a Z Technik windshield and a Russell Day Long Saddle on it which really made the bike for me.

You want to make an RT look big...park it by a Ducati.
![]() Congrats on the HP2 purchase.

Dave, you are invited to the Bikehaus for the spring thaw. I'd like to get at least 6 HP2S's there to match the Dutch gathering in the HP2S forum.
I'm going to be there in plenty of time in case some riders want to ship in some tyres and personal items too large to backpack.![]()

Throw in a Duc Multistrada 1200 (Feb), a GS Adv, and a K13 and the mix even better Bubba!

Likely the Sport model. With the RT, Adv, and HP2S seems the choice right now. My first departure from BMW other than when I started riding in 2003 and first bike was an HD Road King/ And wish the MS had a shaft, or even a belt. But, 'chain wax' ain't all that bad I guess. But thought only BMW had monster tall bikes, but seems the Duc 1200MS also a tall one.

Well John.........if you ever want some photo op's of your bikes together......give me a call and I will be glad to come over to where ever they are and scoot that MS for a while while someone takes shots of us riding it and the HP2 together. I am sure others would step forward for this duty if I can not make it. Good talking to you and that is one nice collection you are putting together. Don't forget to get a Classic R11S at some point thought.........as those bikes of 10 years ago started the whole Oilhead Sport trend.

I've always loved WHITE bikes but somehow buying a Duc other than red (kinda like a Ferrari other than red) seems silly. But, red is not one of my favorite colors either? Hmmm, Red it will be!

Yes Red it will be! I think that Ducati has a winner on their hands!
Also I am wondering if the Saddle bags are removable like they are on the Bmw's ? plus it has a 5.5 gal gas tank!
