Motorcycle Repair Manuals

Some may be interested in this site. I'm not sure what the free download limit is, but they have a lot of manuals and the one I downloaded after registering was the factory manual.

When I googled Kevin Moore, I got some musician's wiki website, so that's not it

That being said, I have an R1100S repair manual in .pdf if anyone needs to borrow it

Google search for R1200S repair manual produced this link. Does anyone know if the book is worth buying?

That depends.
What are you going to repair?

95% of what most here do is change tires, oil, spark plugs, and adjust valves (unless you're a Bill Swartzwelder or other handful of members). All can be found within these archives.

More of what you need for the 1200 is a small set of the proper specialty tools.

A Word Of Caution;
I subscribe to KTMtalk.com
They have a very rigid policy concerning copyrighted material; specifically;
service and parts manuals in both analog and digital form
You can't ask for a copyrighted piece of material
you can't offer a copyrighted piece of material for download
you can't refer someone to a sigte that contains a copyrighted piece of material

the owner of the KTMtalk site has had to deal with 2 lawsuits resulting from trading copyrighted service manuals from his site.

DON'T get Wayne (the owner of PP) in trouble or pi$$ed off over something like this or this site might vanish.

I'M just putting out a FYI here; no skin off my nose, but others HAVE run very afoul before with stuff like this.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I have been looking for the Manual recently as I seem to have misplaced the original which I had an electronic version of. Hey, KMoore, whereabouts in Sydney do you hail from. That's my part of the world.

Cheers

I have this Haynes book. A must ...even if ...well, I can't imagine someone fully "exploiting" that manual (12R nuts and bolts anyone? he he).

That sounds pretty labor intensive, but would thwart the spam bots. One setting possibly available is new members (0 post count) can't start new threads.

I have just noticed that this particular thread has gotten hit a lot.

Jerry's idea is unworkable. I've floated Rob's idea to Wayne and he didn't bite, though I rather liked it.

There are spam tools that spread through knowledge of other spam postings, and some types of 'freeware' sites.

repairmanualclub and other IP stealing sites, and links to those sites, are magnets for it.
It's no coincidence that there's more spam on this one thread than the rest of the 11S forum to begin with.

I'm leaving this up here for a bit by way of explanation, and then chucking it later.
