OT Happy Father
I have made some very good friends on this board. Some of you have spent time in my home and know my family. Well, to all my friends out there, I thought I would share a happy day for me.
Some of you may remember this thread from 4 years ago. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/bmw-r1100s-r1200s-tech-forum/347013-natural-state-rally.html My daughter managed to snag Valedictorian when she graduated high school that year.... Well today she has finished 4 years of college with great honor... Magna Cum Laude. She missed Summa Cum Laude by .025...  Considering I partied my way out of college, I am quite excited for her. And thankful for her hard work.Friday's Honors College ceremony with her thesis director.   Today's Graduation ceremony.   Cold windy day in Fayetteville.

Congratulations!!!
I would be graduating too if i had gone to Purdue full time. Instead I'm taking classes part time while working full time as a mechanical engineer. My work is paying for everything including books, so i decide to take longer in school for a full ride scholarship.

Congratulations to the family, it is nice to see them spread their wings and become responsible adults. It is hard sometimes, but as parents our job is to instill values, responsibility and desire to succeed, and looks like your wife and you are succeeding in that.
And in a couple years we may be able to call you Grandpa!

Congrats Bill. I know the sense of pride you must be feeling. My daughter graduated last year. Unfortunately for my wife and I she has spent the last 9 months in Slovenia doing her research project. Doesn't look like she will be coming home again for a couple years. The good news is we should be there by this Wednesday to visit her.
Enjoy this special time.
