HP2 Sport Tank Pad
So here is a boring subject. I didn't want to scratch my tank with the jacket zipper and looked for a solution. Tried the clear BMW pad off of the S1000, the black one off of the S1000, the Technik carbon look one and they all had not enough coverage for what I wanted. Kind of liked the TechSpec material and after seeing it in person contacted them through eBay. They had told me when I called them that they did not do low volume custom stuff, but the eBay guy said they would. Long story short I spent a bunch of time making 4 different patterns and sent it to them. A few weeks later recieved 4 tank pads, 2 of the C3 and Snakeskin material. Here are some pics of the Snakeskin, the C3 looks really the same. Doesn't seem to take anything away from the bikes looks IMO. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1331344444.jpg

I had some 3M film placed there... does the job perfectly cause I can still see the beautiful tank cowl.

That looks nice. It would be hard for me to stick that on a HP2 Sport, but it took me three years to drill holes for my luggage on my S. My R12S is all scratched and rubbed right there so I fully understand why you did it, and it does look good.

I like the look. I was getting scratches on my Sport as well.

Please send me any of the ones you don't use or tell me how to buy one. I could use something on mine because I get up low on the tank when running up top. Thanks for sharing Szazbo......
