I wonder why this does not apply in the US? Maybe just a delay. We are too busy giving billions to countries all over the world that don't like us....sadly lol. Glad I don't have any bikes on it.

That would also be almost every big engine bike they have sold from 2005 through 2011 in the US. Boneyard has been selling a sleeve for some time now.

Thanks,

Looks like mine is going in as well. Considering I bought this from a dealer, I sort of figured this kind of notification would be from them.

My mistake.

I think that since this just came out a week ago from Transport Canada, maybe the dealers have not gotten notification yet.

I'm going to wait until next week to give my dealer a call and make arrangements to get mine done.

I have been checking the suspect part during each service and so far I have had no problems.

Cheers

See my K is on the list but it's got this far I won't busting a gut to get it done anytime soon even if we get one in the Uk.

Keep in mind, bikes with the silver engine cases can be permanently stained by gas.

Nice find Bryan. Slow day at work?

How do you inspect this part?

Thanks

Peter;
Remove the tank cover and have a look at where the fuel lines come out of the filter housing. The plastic can crack at that location.
Even if yours is not cracked, it sounds like BMW will put on a reinforcement collar.

Was not a slow day at work..........F**kers keep wanting us to do more and more........looking into retiring sooner than later!

Merry Christmas
