Anybody Got an R1100S Seat?

Hi Guys,

The seat is startng to split on my 2001 R1100S. I didn't see anythign in the clasifieds, but I figured someone might have one sitting in the garage somewhere. Anyone?

Mods, i won't be the least bit offended if theis gets nuked or moved. I mainly put it here because the classifieds don't seem to get much action.

How much money you got? lol I have one with like no miles on it, really have not though about selling it, and don't know what it would be worth. Is it the vinyl cracking or the base?

Hey guys, I just learned there is a pre-0201 seat and a post-0201 seat. No idea of the difference, but it is a different part number on the fiche and Sargent lists two different seats for the before and after dates. That makes things a little harder.

Jim, the rubber mounting knobs of the early seats are spaced closer together (narrower) than those of the later model. They do not interchange.

Yep, I forgot about this...as Jozef states below. There is a narrow and wide receptical on these seat pans. Sargent really only has one seat. If you have a later S, they provide you with some stainless pins and you remove the rubber bosses and slid the pins where the bosses were and then put the bosses on the pin....now it is narrow.

I have an older one, so I guess I need the narrow?

Old seat

I have one from a 1999. When I bought the bike it had a Corbin, but the PO gave me the original also. I think it is in excellent condition. I'll go down to the barn and pull it out and look at it. Where are you located?

Jax, Fl. We could be further apart, but it would be hard, lol.

Seat

Jim, I dug it out and looked at it. There is a 1/4" cut on the lower left side edge of the seat. Otherwise looks excellent to me. PN on the underside of the seat says 2328733/1098.

Want me to check with UPS re shipping? I am sure we can find a price you like. Not doing me any good sitting in the garage.

Also, you can contact me at 503-292-0480, or rossrobertb@aol.com.

Jim, I think Sargent has a refurb program for old seats where they will put a new cover on it and reshape it if you'd like. Maybe they could recover your stocker in the winter for about the same money as a crappy old OEM seat.

Only takes them about a week to rebuild your seat, not to mention they're in Jax anyway. Check out their website for all the options, go for the supercell foam insert in the riders seat, your butt will thank you. You can have the seat reshaped so your nuts aren't part of the tank also.

HI, I got a very good one, off of a 2004 R1100S.
Near Atlanta, if you still need one.
I think it is the wide model.

best regards

I'm all over this part of the deal.
I've only owned the bike for 6 weeks and my boys are still mad at me.
