I don't care who wins, but match fixing is just appalling.

mobile.twitter.com/filippomricci/status/663366348064563201

Pretty much says it all. I hope he's happy with his title knowing there's no chance in hell he would have had it if he had to do it himself.

I've watched gp since the late '80's, but what I've seen the last couple of seasons and what those Spanish get away with, I'm pretty much done. I'll stick to endurance racing, where the racing is real, fair and where there is still respect amongst riders without having to give each other presents.

Blegh.

I give Dani credit for his attempt to pass MM on the last lap to have a go a JL. At least he is a true competitor and did a great job reeling in the front pair. Too bad MM had to push Dani off so he could keep protecting JL's ass. The way MM shadowed JL's butt was pathetic.

In the end I believe Rossi dug his own grave with his mouth and lost a chance at the title. Lorenzo, won his points fair and square and is a legitimate champion like him or not.
Well the podium finishers sure weren't sand-bagging what Rossi a week behind at the finish. I sure was rooting for a Rossi win though. His charge to 4th was spectacular.

from lorenzo:

“The fact that they knew what I was going for and that they are Spanish has helped me and in another race they may have tried everything to overtake,” said the new champion. "We are Spanish and the title remains in Spain".

Ah that national pride!

But, he does have a very valid point: “None of this controversy and comments would have happened if Valentino had the speed of Marc, of myself, and had won more races,” he said. “With a bit more speed and consistency, and without what happened at Sepang, he could have arrived in Valencia with a clear advantage and won the championship". Can't argue with that.

In the end I think we got screwed. Vale should have been given the chance to fight not the back markers as we witnessed yesterday.

...Ditto dat. Dani made the attempt but Marqy Marq played F@ky F@ck with him.
Both Hondas were capable of the pass for the top of the podium, at least one of them.
Methinks if even just one would have passed Jorge the world would be a better place...

i am quickly losing interest in MotoGp.
why follow a series if it gets rigged and jacked up in the end, based on politics and passport origin?

how much does spain pay JL and MM for this, vs. what Honda/Yamaha/etc pays them?

seems like some people have forgotten who signs their checks.

WSBK is really a good alternative...Nicky's going there and glad for him.
If you want a real cracker, try British Superbike. Now there's some tight racing!

+ what sergio said, VR simply wasnt fast enough over the season, got over stressed and blew his top, thus his championship. doesnt matter that he was f'd with.

Im not invested as a fan in any one particular rider so I dnt care that VR lost it. I watch for the racing action and I saw an amazing season. well done boys!!!

Why loose interest now absolutely nothing has changed for years, they(the Spanish) have the best system for bringing up riders they have the most sponsors and have the largest number of home GP's with fantastic attendances.

Moto GP and Dorna is what it is because no one else with the exception of Redbull and Monster bring anything to the game outside of Spain.

Really

I'll digress while the Flammini Brothers ran WSB it made the Dorna run Moto GP look on the level,Pirelli tyres are notorious for their lack of consistency which was easily solved by them being dished out to the favourite people Biaggi never had a dud tyre EVER !!! but I've seen tyres given to top line guys and they have done 3 laps and come in and they were that hard there wasn't a mark on them because they had the consistency of a billiard ball.

Don't even get me started on how the rules were bent for Ducati

Fast forward to Dorna getting their hands on the series they have dumbed the engines down they did it the end of last year and they've done it again for 2016 hence Ducati have come good because the fours have been brought down to their level all because lap times were getting way to close to Moto GP times.

As for Hayden I feel sorry for him all round nice guy and the bike he will ride next year is absolutely pants yea sure there is supposed to be a new blade in 17 but that will take at least 2 years to get up and running.

I met David Emmett at a corporate event at the Assen GP two years ago completely unaware of who he was,English guy married to a Dutch girl lives in Holland rides a bike 24/7 doesn't even own a car,he was the half time entertainment for a fairly hostile crowd with great knowledge back to the early 70's.

So I'd expect a great write up and that's exactly what it is,the pros and cons means it'll be debated for years, one thing is for sure a new game starts with tomorrows test and Michelin tyres I'm told the rear is very good Bridgestone standard the front is!!! different.

are they going to stripe those puppies so we know what's a who on tv?
those f-1 flakes do that, not that they're very professional group and all, but sometimes they get it right.

I think you'll be able to tell...
if it's really wet..... somewhat wet... or as dry as your humor, the appropriate tire will be chosen!

Probably so. Read an intersting article from sports tech manager of Michelin who is strangely Aitalian . His final conclusions: Tire is different from Bridgstone so riders will have to brake way sooner but will get more corner speed. No appologies, thats how it goes for all riders...so get used to it.
