Front Wheel Liner Modification?
 

My front liner has scrapped the ground a few too many times and wore through.
I saw the Pelican article on modifying the front liners to allow more air through the radiators by cutting slots in it. Since the liner needs to be replaced and only the front section is damaged I thought about replacing just the front section with the later vented liner.
Does anyone know if the later (2005-2008) front vented liner can be fitted to a trimmed 1999 liner? The pictures show it to be squared off and a couple of plastic rivets hold it together.
