Transmission Number?

When Porsche asks for the "transmission number" for the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) application is the number visible from below the car? Looks like I might have to remove the cross members and cover plate to see it on my car. I'm thinking the number shown in the attached pic "G86201031713" is the transmission number - the pic is not of my car. I know the COA application says "mandatory for 1979 and older models" but I would like to give them all the information on my car ('08 Cayman) I can provide so hopefully they will include it with the COA.

I have a 2000 Boxster S and the transmission has metal tag attached to it with the number stamped on the tag.
I have to remove the rear wheel on passenger side to access it.
Not sure if this is relevant for your 08' Cayman but hope it helps.
