workshop manual

Has anybody published any kind of Boxster do-it-yourself book. or is the $575 factory manual the only way to go? I bought my wife a new '03 Box for Christmas, to join our '83 SC track car, and there's no way I'm taking it to a dealer for $450 oil changes.
