Okay. lemee preface this by saying I don't know anything. None of this is Hands on. All of it is my best guess, and attempts to be helpfull.
But, there doesn't seem to be alot of places to go on a Boxster for HP gains, let alone turbo. I'm including a few others just to be helpfull to the one place I found. GL In 911 and Porsche World's 104 issue there is a Boxster that is running a 3.4 996 engine with Nitrous, and has 400+bhp. The site from the book listed as doing the work. http://www.n2.net/wilsons/ In the August Excellence (I think, I don't have it right here to check) is Alios Ruf's 345 HP NA boxster. And to answer the last, I looked all over for a Turbo on a Boxster, and could only find Gemballa offering a kit. They are Gemballa.com for the address. The concerns I have heard expressed for Turboing a Boxster mostly have to do with the engine. I think the only way to really know though is for more people to do it, and compare the resultes. I'd be very interested in it. I'd also like to see if someone has Supercharged a Boxster. I'm more fond of Supercharging as a bolt on option, as I feel it fits me as a driver and person better than a Turbo. Ed Hachtel Porsche free for 2003! (Yes I'm hoping to change that)

A number of horsepower/conversion options
1. The most popular horsepower modifications to the Boxster are headers, air intake, ECU upgrade, and muffler producing 25 to 35HP gain for $5000 or so.
2. The other option is to swap your engine with a 911 powerplant (3.4L or 3.6L). This generally cost $12,000 to $15,000. A six-speed transmission is optimal(S version OK) and uprated suspension and brakes should be done in unison to accommodate for the extra speed/power of 300 to 340 HP. 3. Supercharging and Turbos can be done through a number of providers including: Turbo Performance http://www.turboperformance.com/porschef.htm (great vid of boxster burnout) TTP (Turbo Technik Pietz AG) http://www.t-t-p.de/english/index.htm (SELECT Tuning --> Porsche Conversion. Pricing included) Gemballa http://www.gemballausa.com/ Roock http://www.roockusa.com/products/boxster.htm There are a number of other tuners I have not mentioned. A great list of Boxster related tuners & sites is: http://www.janesko.com/boxster/ Hope this helps.

This is second hand info but my friend has a 2000 Boxster with supercharger. He ran over a rock, knocked a hole in his oil sump plate, all his engine oil bled out so Porsche replaced his engine. Porsche replaced the engine and put the supercharger back in at no cost BUT the engine valve guides/seals leaked and the motor smoked a ton. After much haggling concerning the supercharger voiding warranties, Porsche replaced the engine again!!
