IPD plenum for 2004 986 S 550 edition
 
I have an 04 Boxster S 550 Spyder edition and was thinking about buying the IPD plenum. I know the 550 edition has 7hp increase over the regular S and have read the extra 7 ponies are obtained thru different chip programming. Have any 550 owners installed the IPD plenum?

The 987 air cleaner & MAF is the main source of extra HP for the 550. There are no "chips" to program. That being said you should get a power increase with the IPD plenum.
