Cool clutch feel

just upgraded, from 97, to a 2005 base boxster. clutch, pressure plate and flywheel done 6000 miles ago. i find the 05 to feel very light on the initial pedal travel compared to the 97. normal or not.

I’ve just changed my 3.2. 02yr and I find the pedal extremely heavy. I changed all 3 bits plus the helper spring

Must not have used OE parts. if you do the clutch feels very soft & gets stiffer when it wears.

Had it changed by an independent- am very disappointed as the original clutch was not slipping but was heavy when I bought the car so when I had a leak at the rear seal I decided to have the clutch changed at same time.
It’s lost my business that’s for sure.
Wish I’d done it myself now

Did you change the hose to the slave cylinder? They swell on the inside and make pedal effort more heavy. All external DIY but access is tight.
