986 front control arm link bushing
Has anyone ever successfully replaced the rubber bushing on the front control arm link with a polyurethane one? I can't find anyone who markets one or any other kind of replacement bushings, only high priced replacement units.
I will try pressing out the old rubber bushing and see if Energy Suspension has a correct sized generic bushing.

I had assumed you were looking for callout #3 on their 986 page. Is that not the case?

#3 is for the control arm. I am replacing all 4 since the ball joints are all toast and they are non-replaceable. The front control arm link is this one

Sorry, little confused. Which bushing are you wanting ?? What I did on mine was bought 4 new control arms with new ball joints. The bushings that are on the inner end of the arm i left rubber, the bushing that is close to the ball joint I replaced with Poly. My thinking is i stayed with rubber for vertical movement so it wasn't hard as a rock, but used Poly for anything that held the arm from moving horizontally. Vertex has some arms and links with Poly already installed and I used those everywhere I could. Switched over to coil overs and have been very happy with the new tighter feel.
