Hey everyone, I'm a former Boxster S owner and I'm currently trying to help Dad with his 99 Boxster. It seems there was some kind of catastrophic failure in the trans, maybe the torque converter. It blew its fluid everywhere. I've taken the trans out and does some inspecting. There is some signs of damage on the input shaft, the fluid looks horrible and there is a good amount of build up on the pan magnets.
We're looking to just replace it with a rebuilt/remanufactured trans... or even have it rebuilt by a reputable place. I'm having issues finding a place to source this. I thought I found on, but other posts on here said to avoid Vertex like the plague. Any info is greatly appreciated. 99 Boxster Base with Tiptronic trans |

So we've decided to attempt a rebuild since it's an oddball year to source used or rebuilt. Has anyone gone this route and who seems to have the best kits? Thanks!
