Oil question on '13 base Boxster
Just purchased this Boxster and the car has traveled 900 miles since the last oil change in 11/2019. I noticed the message on the dash says 'Oil Change Now'. How long can I drive it this way?

As far as the message on the dash, yes, you can continue to drive your Box. It's a marketing ploy by Porsche to get customers to come in based on an arbitrary time frame (generally 1 yr). They want you to come in, have them change your oil for $100s, and they'll reset the light so you come back next yr to repeat the process. For those of us who change our oil on different schedules than once a yr and the light is not on our schedule, there are tools that can be purchased that will reset the light. I use an iCarsoft Por II on my cars and have used it on the Wheeler Dealer 981s that I've bought and sold.
But even though you only have supposedly 900 mi on your oil, you still should consider changing it since it has been a yr. The general consensus is oil should be changed in the 5-8K mi range or annually if < 5K mi. So you're due for an oil change even with only 900 mi. I change the oil in my CSS every 5K mi or after 2 DE weekends. I tend to drive my LE < 5K mi a yr, so she gets annual changes.
