cat back exhaust
I am considering doing a cat back exhaust replacement. Does anyone have experience with a manufacturer that they can recommend? I have done a lot of youtube research and many have fitment or droning issues. Thank you! Bill

Installed a Remus several years ago. No out of the ordinary fitment issues, a little difficult to get the tailpipes straight/even, but overall an easy installation.
I've been happy with it.

Whichever one you choose, make sure it is a reputable one, like FabSpeed. The cheap $300 systems have heavy droning. It also depends on what you want to achieve. The factory gets it pretty accurate for best performance too. Very few of these systems give you any HP increase without other enhancements like flashes or engine upgrades to intake etc.

What car?
I can’t say enough good things about Gert’s Carnewall exhaust “fix” for my Cayman, done by Cantrell Motorsports. Added the Dream 2 (I think that’s what it’s called) 2 into 1 pipe and the exhaust without the cats in the cans is incredible. It also looks factory for those smog checks (we don’t have those here). Price was right when I did mine many years ago, no drone.

If you do go through with it, please post some audio clips. Ive thought about it, but the stock exhaust on my Cayman sounds really good to my ear.
The muffler on my 911 isn't stock and sounds great, just don't know if I will be as lucky with my Cayman |

I put a Soul cat back on my 987.1. Love the sound. I've had air cooled guys approach me and complement me on the sound and say they wish they could get an exhaust for their cars that sounded that good.
Have a set of their long tube headers waiting to go on. Just have to get some time to do it. |

The louder the exhaust the sooner the bill for the hearing aids.
