Best friend bought a Boxer last year. Now peer pressure has me looking. I'm not a convertible fan, so am looking / learning about the Cayman.

What are you looking to get? What's your price point? What are you looking to do with your Cayman? Daily driver? Autocross? Track?

The post-2009 cars are the most robust - the dreaded IMS issue doesn't occur in them. But even the early Caymans can be affordable and as long as you are on top of the maintenance, they can give you miles and miles of enjoyment!

I ended up with a 2011 base because of the 2.9 engine (port injection).

Cayman is a great car. I use mine as my daily driver. You'll be happy with one.
