Snapped brake nipple

Ive snapped a brake nipple in my brembo caliper as anyone had any success of drilling it out and re tapping it. |

It can be done, but it is often more trouble and expense than it is worth.

If you're intent on fixing it ... I haven't done this trick on a Brembo, but it worked on a older set of Alcon racing calipers. (You could try an easy-out tool, but honestly if it's stuck enough to snap off, you might have a hard time removing it with a tool.) If the nipple breaks off flush with or near the surface, one option is to weld an appropriately sized nut to the seized remnant of the nipple. The nut doesn't have to touch the seized nipple, being close is good enough. As for what would be an "appropriately sized" nut, I found that one the same size as the nipple is good. I wondered about damaging the caliper, but I didn't have an issue with that.
