tpms issues

2007 CS 109K miles-TPMS went out a few months ago, went to tire place that replaced dead sensors 5 years ago and know Porsches, put new ones in and had an OBD gizmo to match frequencies for each wheel....i assume the right sensors were put in and activated. On other threads I see that the TPMS controller is in the front right wheel well????? Is that correct? sometimes the connections get dirty and need cleaning out. Anyone really know where the controller is placed on a 987????
Thanks

Are you absolutely sure? The 987.2 (2009-2012) TPMS sensors are on a different frequency. Did your knowledgable store get the right sensors for a 987.1? That's where I'd start first - verify the frequency.

thanks for the reply. am i absolutely sure, no. you are correct, i will double check. as mentioned, they did replace them correctly the first time, this time they had some interface via obd which monitored the sensors individually and everything checked out. the device was taken to each wheel and read independently to verify frequency and data. I did find the transceiver and will clean all the connections today to rule that out, transceiver is not cheap....trying to avoid the dealer.

It's been 7 yrs since I last changed sensors in either of my 987s, so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but I think the proper frequency is 33 mhz while the 987.2 is something like 57. If your tire store can tell you what the freq is, you'll know immediately if it's correct or not. Just know what it should be for the 987.1.
