underbody aluminum protection plate install
after reinstalling the engine and transmission on my 1999 boxster the aluminum trany protection plate does not fit properly. the studs on the tranny brace are a little too far apart to slide the panel on, what needs to be done to make it fit (other than making the holes bigger) thanks

Pull the uprights together with a small rachet strap.

I tried to do some searching around the forums for an answer.
This thread i found also mentions using ratchet straps. Hope this helps! -Matt |

Yup. Make sure that the wheels are hanging (i.e. not on ramps) and use a ratchet strap. That's what I've done in the past and it worked perfectly.
