1998 Boxster How to remove side vents
I have been searching you tube for how to remove and replace the air duct grills on my 1998 Boxster (Porsche PN 986.504.747.00 and 986.504.748.00 - I have purchased new ones from Pelican to replace mine that are sun aged). I have found one video where the person shows the tab holders AFTER the grills are removed but not showing how he did it (his instructions are: remove the single screw at the top of the outer trim and then pull the gill towards you) and others that show different styles of the grill that are not the same as mine (i.e with 4 tabs not 3). I really would like to see a video on someone actually removing these grills - I learn so much watching where someone pulls on the grill / what areas are fragile, etc. Can anyone direct me? Thanks, Victoria

Side vents
I have removed mine multiple times. You literally just remove the screw in the top and they pretty much just pull right out. The louver vents are held in with metal clips. These you push the tabs back into the vent to remove them.

I did the same, gently pulled until they released.getting them back in was a bit of a problem as I have only one usable hand, but I finally got it. I did the Chrios mod which I am very satisfied with.
