Recently noticed both inboard CV joint boots ripped and leaking. Took it to my local tech who removed the passenger side axle and ordered a boot kit according to the year, make and model.
However, when the boots arrived, he noticed that they did not match those on the axle. The axle (photo attached) appears to be an after-market replacement for the original or perhaps one out of a 911 of the same year??? Can anyone help identify the axle in the attached photo so that we can order the correct boots for it? There are no identifying part numbers anywhere on the axle assembly. The axle shaft OD wheren the outboard boot fits over it measures 28 mm whereas the new replacement boot's ID at that point is only 24mm. Any help sourcing the correct boots for this axle will be sincerely appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Don't recall
that isn't a stock 914 color. Is it?
