I would second the opinion to stick with the recommended Pentosin ATF 1.
Here is a good reference from Pelican. Also check YouTube of course. https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Boxster_Tech/35-TRANS-Auto_Fluid_Change/35-TRANS-Auto_Fluid_Change.htm You may find that more than 5 liters are required after draining. Note that it is not possible to drain an automatic completely. The amount you will need to put it will be determined by following the procedure and heating the trans to proper temps. There is a fill plug and a drain plug. The position of the fill plug placement is at a level that when full, fluid leaks out indicating that you have filled completely. This is why adherence to the fill temperatures are so important. |
