987.1 convertible top open limit error
 

I just replaced the plastic gears in both the left and right side of my 2007 Boxster S convertible top gear transmissions. I calibrated both sides and the top looks to be closing and opening fine. However, when opening the top and even though it opens fully and the clam shell fully seats in the back, I get an error message that either the top has not opened fully (even though it has) and/or not reached the open limit setting. It gives no error message when the top is closed. I am assuming it is the limit switch in the left gear transmission but not sure how to validate it and cannot find a replacement switch in case it is faulty. This is also the same side that initially failed with the plastic gear breaking. Anyone else have this error or know how to resolve?
