roof stuck open

Hardly used,Not been used for a year.
its happened Twice now, when opening roof ,and then when i try to close it wont close, but will still go down more but not up.Also i notice passenger window would only go 3/4 of the way up.i locked it up,Then 10 minutes later i opened it and tried the roof again and lucky it closed.Tried window opens normally now roof closed.
Anyone any idea to scared to open it again.

After a bit of investigating. I took top latch to bits and i assume as mine is the later one it only as one micro switch in, I think.? Which drops the windows.
What i have got now is the windows drop the top goes down but not up . Some times it goes up but not often .But i can bypass relay and get the top to go up.
Now does the top micro switch just drop windows or does it also do up and down on roof.Thanks

I think you're certainly on the right track with a bad microswitch. There are numerous microswitches in the 981, yours is probably the same. I would suggest doing a search for an electrical diagram for your car.
