2006 Porsche 987.1 Convertible roof adjustment

Hi, After replacing the convertible transmission I am having difficulties getting the clamshell to close. When closing the roof, the start to end sequence is as follows:
1. Clamshell opens
2. Roof moves and begins to close
3. Error message in dash that roof position not set
4. Rooftop make it to the closed position before the windshield level is engaged
5. Clamshell remains open
6. Engage windshield lever to fully locked position
7. Clamshell closes
8. All error messages disappear.

The clamshell always closed prior to the level being engaged. I am completely flummoxed on what to do. All and any help appreciated. Thx
