Convertable Top Problem
 

The drive on the right side has quit working.
I have heard that this is a common problem.
maybe a recall on the cables. I have tried to take it a part but dont know where to start. Anyone with any suggestions would be greatly Appreciated! I am the 2nd owner of the 98 Boxter and don't have a warranty. I am planning to do the work myself.

It *is* a common problem. Our recently purchased '00 Boxster S is giving a lot of trouble with the top. Both mechanically and electrically. It's been in the shop twice already, and is going back again!
