Golf clubs.
Hey, I currently have a '71 911 and was thinking about Boxsters. Right now I can get my clubs in the trunk no problem, and if I have a second set, I can squeeze them in or put them in the back seat. Anyone have any experience with getting two sets of clubs in the Boxster? Picts and real world experience would be most helpful.

2 Sets will NEVER work in the space provided in Boxsters prior to 2005. I have read somewhere the 2005 will accept a set of clubs.
As for my 2001 if I take out the Driver and 3 wood, the rest of 1 set will fit. I can put the Driver and 3 wood in the compartment also, but just not in the bag. It really is not that big of a deal.

I don't have any pics, but Julie and I were able to get two sets in the back with a folding rolling cart in the front. However, my bag was very slim and her's was not very large either. You have to remove any long drivers and tuck them to the very back of the trunk. Then I would put my bag in, tucking the club heads into the passenger side corner, then tucking the bottom of the bag into the driver's side corner. Julie's bag would fit between my bag and the bulkhead/service panel (sans all "woods", see above). It was tight to say the least, but we managed every time. Shoes went in front with the one folding cart (for her...I always carried my clubs).
If anybody in the Cinci area would like a demonstration, just bring your Boxster by. I'll be sure to take pics then so we can share with the others!

Doug, That is much better news. I guess part of the test drive will have to be seeing how the clubs fit. Like you I carry, so my bag is slim as well.
Thanks, Joel

A single bag is much easier, even if it's larger. Two large bags is near impossible. But definitely give it a try...it may surprise you!
...you might also want to invest in one of those plastic "under hood" covers as, especially with two bags, you'll be pushing on them with the deck lid. Good luck!

Both our bags are of the carry variety and fairly small. I take all the woods out, put one bag rear to right the other rear to left, then place the woods at an angle. I can then get one push cart in the front, folded up and wheels removed, but not two. I had a 46.5 inch driver that didn;t want to go in, so I went back to my old taylor made with a 45 shaft and improved my tee shot to boot. Never could hit that big headed long shafted club anyway. I'll sell it cheap, the driver I mean

I've just picked up an R5, so I think I'm set for a driver. :-)
