The smallest wheel size on an S?

What is the smallest wheel I can put on a 2000 S?

I would like to get a set of track wheels that I could use on the S or my 914 project. It appears that there is about 1 inch of clearance between the brake caliper and my 18 inch street wheel. This would lead me to believe that a 16 would be a really tight fit. 16's would be great for the 914.

They say 16" will not clear the rotors, so that leaves the standard 17".

17''. I don't know this to be a fact but it was the standard size for the S. The rear wheel is close on 17's, heck just try washing the rims.

Correct. I ran across this when searching for winter wheels for my non-S. I was told the 16" were the best winter wheels UNLESS YOU HAVE AN S BECAUSE THEY WON'T FIT. FYI I got 17's in case I ever move up to an S.
