I have a 98 Boxster with 22,000 miles on it. Just recently the brakes started sticking when I go to slow down or stop. In order to release the brakes, I have to come to a complete stop and push the brake pedal to the floor.
I just took the car into an independent Porsche shop and they lubricated the pushrod assembly beside the battery. They charged me $140 and said it was better and that they might have to replace the master cylinder if that doesn't work for me. The brakes do seem better, but not as good as they should be. Have any of you had this problem or know what might be causing it, do I need to replace the master cylinder or something else in the braking system???

Have your shop check the brake booster, it probably has water
in it. If the cowl drains have been stopped up in the past and the water level gets high enough, it can get into the booster. There is an updated booster and seal kit that the dealer can install so it doesn't happen again. In fact you can no longer buy the old booster(from Porsche) and the seal kit(and push rod depending on model) have to be installed on the new booster. Hope this helps.
