My first guess would be a dead battery in the car. Failing that, what happens when you turn the key - does the door unlock and then immediately relock, or does the lock spin freely with no resistance?

Do you have a flashing red light in your remote control when you push the button? Is there a flashing light in the radio or on the upper center of the dashboard?

If the car has sustained any kind of significant water intrusion into the passenger compartment, you may have shorted out the alarm control module. Should that be the case, you may have also damaged your locking servo motors. Professional assistance would be required at that point.

Good luck

When I turned the key, the door wont unlock and the remoted does turn a flashing red. We called the dealer they told us the servo motors is dead and we had to pay for $1000! to fix it. this sucks. Is there any way I can fix this by myself(instruction)?

Needs diagnosing with the Porsche PST2 tester, as AFJ says probably the module and servo motors are burnt out. I wouldn't count on the bill be only $1K either. The door lock control servos, front, rear and fuel cap solenoids as well as the module, prgramming and labor is not going to be cheap. If it was caused by water ingress then the carpets need removing and drying.

You need to get the fault accurately diagnosed and an estimate of total costs.

Do you know how to reset the remote control for the car cuz the other key wont work. I already seached the forum here and I saw one guy talking about reseting the remote key but tt doesnt tell how to do it, like do you just put key on the and the other in the ignition? what do I do after that?. Oh by the way, I got my car fixed today. It didnt cost up high(good thing), it cost me $350 to fix it.

Thanks in advanced.

You need to reset it with a PST-2 or PST-3

what was the final diagnosis on what the problem was?

Oh, I got it to work now. You just press both keys near to one another and wait for few seconds. Its like the garage remote. Thanks for helping me by the way
