Clutch Problem

Hello,
I am new to this board. I have a 98 Boxster, last night the cluch would not come up, and fluid was leaking under the car on the drivers side. I think it is the clutch master cylinder? Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

How many miles are on her?

I would guess master, slave or the flex hose in between somewhere. I just went through the same thing in the 928. If you have a good bit of mileage on it and replace the master, you might want to go ahead and replace the flex hose and maybe even the slave too. With mine, I replaced the slave, then the master went two months later. Replaced the master and the higher pressure from the new parts blew the old flex hose right off the fittings. Next time, I'll just do it all at once instead of over 6 months.

When the slave or the master went out on yours did you have all the fluid leak out? I'm thinking it is just the hose, when I press down on the peddle it makes a hissing noise.

I didn't lose any fluid until the flex hose blew off.
