I'm guessing that this question will generate more than one opinion, and I don't want to start any fights, but I'd like to hear what you all have to say. On an '00 arctic silver car; which doesn't seem to have been overly-waxed at any time in its' life; which composition and brand of wax; paste or liquid is favored? This S spends most of it's life garaged.

Any high quality paste wax should work well. I'm a fan of Mothers and Macguire's gold class.
IMO, I think zymol is a bit over-rated AFJ

I used Black Magic liquid on my 00 arctic silver after using Zymol cleaner wax. (I bought the car in March, so I've waxed it just twice.)
The Black Magic is easier to use than Zymol and it seems to shine more. I don't know how durable it will be since it has only been on the car a week. There are many multi-step processes that will probably do a better job, but if you have limited time to care for your car, Black Magic is my recommendation. |

great stuff and thanks! Mother's and Meguires have been favorites of mine for some time now. I just didn't know what with the new composition (water-based) euro-paints, if a different wax system was required.
Time and ease of use are major considerations as well so I may put down a good base carnuba product, and use the Black Magic to maintain the shine.

My '02 S is black. The Chicago PCA concours judges (which are nationally known) recommend a good carnuba wax (I favor Zymol) finished with 3M hand glaze. Gives the car incredible finish and depth. Doesn't take all day, either.
