new 06 CS owner

Sold my 85 911 and made the switch to an 06 CS - picked it up last weekend!

Low mile Arctic Silver/Black/6-spd with 19's, PASM, Sport Chrono, PCM, Xenons, and Bose plus a few other goodies.

Been wanting one of these for a while - I just need to stop worrying about the IMS issue and enjoy the car!

Ken

Nice ride carreraken!
Like bklyn says, why worry, just enjoy you new ride.
Ritually maintain it and don't "baby" it, you'll be fine.
Welcome to the forum, we'll forward to your posts in the future.

Thanks Wayne - I already have the 911 book. I may look at the boxster book - but I'm trying real hard to avoid that 'slippery slope'!

The book is a money saver, not a money spender. The preventative maintenance projects will keep you away from your mechanic. It's a no brainer.

carreraken,
Well worth the small investment! I was a little hesitant at first too, but after I received my copy I was 100% satisfied, have already gotten my monies worth just changing oil and all filters.

Thanks Wayne

Did my first oil change and flushed brakes on my car last weekend and decided I want to learn more about this car. I have your book on order!

Good choice of vehicle. I have a boxster now but Cayman is awesome have driven a few and love the agility. Change the oil often and you will be ok, if you can't sleep over the IMs issue then just change it out and you will sleep better.
