roof contact with switch lever
![]() ![]() Our 1998 is in perfect condition except for a mark in the roof. I see that the roof contacts the microswitch lever mounted on the drive motor assembly. The 2nd owner had repairs done by the dealer and then rework after another immediate failure and that required "bodywork". Lots of money spent but this contact was not resolved. Was told it was like this when the car was purchased second hand from a Porsche dealer and assume that there has been a history of roof work. The cost of the repairs was part of the reason for sale. Any suggestions of what should be done to move this microswitch? Does not look like the position can be moved but I have not taken it apart as yet. Ron Jackson |

The switch is a one-piece unit, but I think it may be broken in there or bent. That plastic cover pops right off, here's what it looks like underneath:
![]() Come to think of it now, comparing the two photos, I don't really see an issue, it looks pretty spot on to me. Maybe there is something amiss with the roof? -Wayne
