Tires on 17" front Boxster wheels
I know the "stock" sizes are 205/50 for the fronts, 255/40 on the rears. The tires I'm looking at have either 215/45 or 225/45, but no 205/50. I'll stay stock on the rears.
Anyone go with bigger tires? Any issues with rubbing? Should I go with the 215s, or the 225s?

Many owners, myself included, run 225/45/17 on the fronts.
It gives the front end a little more bite at corner turn-in and may slightly reduce the amount of understeer that is inherrent in the Boxster (as long as the rear tires remain stock at 255/40/17). No fitment problems with the 225 fronts at all.

I have 225/45/17s on the front of my BSR and have no problems running that size on the fronts. I recall from other boards that many went to the 225/45s instead of the 205/50s on stock cars. If I remember right, the rolling diameters of the 225/45 and 205/50 is very close to the same.

Yes, it should be fine, and you shouldn't have any major speedometer issues either. As others have pointed out though, it will change the handling and feel of the steering a bit.
