Replaced AOS today! Question...

So I replaced my AOS today and had a VERY hard time connecting the rubber hose on the bottom with the clamps so I went to buy some hose clamps that you can tighten with a flat head screw driver.
I was wondering if that is okay and has anyone else tried this?
The original clamps are a PAIN in the @ss to put back on.

Just wanted to share my experience with this task and hopefully give someone else a heads up (tip) on how to do it.

Yep, no problem. Just dont over tighten and they will be fine. I used the aircraft type that have a screw driver slot, hex , and are double banded. But its not rocket science. Even tension and not pinched distorted.

I did mine yesterday and yes it was a pain in the @ss, did it late at night so I couldnt go and get the screw on type, ended up using locking vice grips and was able to get it on. Hard to squeeze pliers and slide it on with one hand going inbetween the axle and body.

Just for future reference, order a new factory clamp. They come with a plastic tool on the clamp that holds it in the open position. Once the rubber bellows is in place, you just pull the plastic tool off and you're done.

Yes, this is a pain, but any good high-quality clamp will suffice.
