Boxster rear foglight upgrade?
Hello again,
Is it possible to set up rear fog lights on a car which didn't originally come with them? It seems to me like I should be able to just plug in a relay and throw in a couple of bulbs to make it work. Thanks for your time, Scott

I'm not sure if they are already "part" of the system, as evidenced by this thread: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/boxster-cayman-forum/546911-rear-fog-light-mystery-boxster.html
I would think that adding the system to the car would not be a big issue, but I'm not sure if the cars are pre-wired for them. -Wayne

Thanks for the heads up - I read through the linked thread - Porsche truly makes some unique cars! It's pretty cool how the light knob also allows for left and right "city lights".

Yeeeeeah, as it turns out I was looking at the wrong "segment" of the rear lights. I happened to be at the local dealer and asked them to check it out. The single driver's side rear fog light works as advertised. Yay!
*hangs head in shame* I'll go back to the corner now....

Yep, but be sure it is real foggy or you get get nice folks telling you one of your tail lights are out.
Yes they do.

Yes, that's the way it's supposed to be.
This will come in real handy when you park in Europe once they build the bridge across the Atlantic. |

I'm surprised that Porsche didn't "activate" the other side for the US market... figured that the overly-litigious would have forced that one. It's nice to see that bit of European flair remain.

I believe that the side of the Fog lamp is chosen depending on the region the car will be sent.
Remember also seeing country related information indicated on the breakers diagram (ie: Canada's Day Light...)
