2000 Boxster missing tool kit
 

I recently purchased a 2000 Boxster and love the car. Minor problem is that the car did not come with the tool kit or with an owner's manual. I have downloaded a generic "one size fits all" Boxster manual that is better than nothing, but can't find a tool kit for the car. I'm thinking I could put something together if I knew where to start. I will need a lug wrench and will look for something at the local parts store. I see that there is a special tool to release the headlight assembly to change bulbs. I haven't been able to find one, so anybody know what I might substitute for that? Also, what else is in the factory tool kit that is necessary enough to include in mine?

I see the towing eye and it's available through Pelican parts so I'll order one of those. That little combo tool looks like it's the headlight release tool. I haven't been able to find one of those anywhere. Is there something I can substitute for that?

Here is one complete! I got my missing Manual's including leather case here. Below is OEM toolkit
for Boxter.

on one of the Boxster racer forums perhaps. Or the wrecking yards. I know one went with the Boxster I totaled.

Kit suggestion
 

You can build a far superior kit for a similar cost of the OEM's. Here's a suggested list.

Flex bar and socket for wheel change.
Set of metric hex keys for headlight changing/adjustment.
Multi-screwdriver
Set of small metric combo wrenches and maybe even a small socket set.
A high quality lifting bolt like the one in the photos posted here. Does anyone have a manual reference of it's use? It looks to me like it could be used for supporting the drive train during removal. Are you sure its for towing?

Definitely the tow hook...agree with picking up a complete kit from a dismantler.

I'm searching for the complete kit but they seem to be a bit on the pricy side considering what is included. I like the idea of putting a kit together on my own and if I don't find something soon I'll likely go in that direction. I've already ordered the tow hook, so I'm kinda on my way.
