Porsche Technical Class Finally Available To Public
The WTI Porsche Engine Management II class will be available for a limited time only and we are personally offering an invitation to all those who have been interested in attending, but have yet to find the time. This Engine Management II class is being replaced with the Porsche Body and Cayenne (9PA) Engine Management classes that will carry on from here.
We are offering two Porsche Engine Management II classes in the state of California. Our Southern California class will be in Burbank (Los Angeles) and our Northern California class will be held in Pleasanton (San Francisco). These classes are for the shop that would like to add the Porsche line and also for the well versed Porsche technician who would like to gain more knowledge on Porsche systems theory and applicable repairs. Below is a sampling of a few items that we will be covering in these two classes: *Porsche fuel trim system diagnosis, theory and application including pattern failures/repairs. Understanding the acronyms, performing a system interrogation, analyzing the current problem and using the information to repair a car. This is probably the most singly misunderstood system in Porsche history. *Porsche misfire diagnosis, theory and application including pattern failures/repairs. How to perform a system interrogation, analyze the current problem and utilize this information to repair a car. We also explain misfire system adaptation including cylinder cut out operation. *M96 Internal engine repair including easy to understand instruction on replacement of the Intermediate Bearing utilizing the aftermarket LN Engineering kit. * M96 Internal engine systems including a complete explanation of the 3 chain and 5 chain mechanisms. * A description of the most common scan tools (including the factory PIWIS tester) available and what they offer, including how to use them to repair your problem cars. * How to diagnose a faulty MAF (Mass Air Flow sensor) and engine oil separator in short order. * And much more… Inquire to rennsport@msn.com Southern CA Burbank, CA 07-16-11 (Saturday) 8AM-5PM Northern CA Pleasanton, CA 10-22-11 (Saturday) 8AM-5PM Sincerely, Tony Tony Callas Callas Rennsport Torrance, CA 90503 rennsport@msn.com |

How many days is the class? 1
What is the cost? $350.00 What are the credentials of the instructors? I am the instructor "Tony Callas", Google me. I will also include a few links at the bottom. Are any recognized certificates issued? Yes, from the Worldpac Training Institute. Are there any materials provided? Yes, a very comprehensive book I have assembled. Thanks Thank you, Tony Callas http://www.worldpac.com/training/ http://www.callasrennsport.com/ http://www.worldpac.com/training/classes/fliers/SEM730.pdf |
I was at Tony's last class, and I will most likely be attending this one as well. They are very informative, and not too advanced that the Do-It-Yourselfer will become lost in the process. Tony is an entertaining instructor and you will not be bored. Plus, I will be there to keep him on his toes - I like to ask difficult questions. Tony assisted me with the creation of the Boxster 101 Projects book, and he is currently helping with our 996 book. He has our "test bed" 996 in his shop right now, and him and Tom have put about 3500 miles on it during this testing phase (we're testing the new IMS replacement kit).

Your advice on first time Porshe owners like myself... will this class be over my head ? I am not a professional mechanic, but I can certainly appreciate this opportunity. And, will this course have a benefit to Boxter owners ? Your thoughts are appreciated... Rod aka newlife |
I wish stuff like this was also getting run over here :(

Unfortunately, my son's 6-year old birthday party is this Saturday, so I will not be able to attend this class this time. -Wayne |
