Does the 986 'S' exhaust system has the same characteristics and the basic Boxster model?

I'm curious about this as well.

Yes, the 'S' muffler has a different tip on it, and supposedly sounds different too, although I haven't compared them side-by-side. The 'S' exhaust has two outlets, and the non-'S' has only one big one in the middle.
