Brake pads 2000 Boxster, and fuel filter

Hello, what pads do I want to get for my stock 2000 Boxster? What all do I need to order for the job. The rotors are still fine. Its just a preventative job. I see the parts on Pelican's site here, but I want to make sure I'm getting the stuff I need to do the job once.

Also, how often should the fuel filter be changed? I don't notice any issue right now, but I assume its something that is addressed from time to time?

Thanks

You can get one manufactured by TMD (Textar, Mintex, Pagid). They are sold in a large price range. I put Mintex on mine (got them for like $33 a pair) and they seemed to work just as good as the more expensive Textar...for all I know since TMD makes them both the material is probably pretty close. Here's the deal though, I HATE brake dust so I took them off and put on Akebono, I had them on my Benz and just loved them...no more nightly cleaning! The pads I took off are back in the box with 400 miles on them, maybe if I decide to do some light tracking I'll put the Mintex back on so as to save the more expensive Akebono's.

As for fuel filter, I think it is recommended in the 30-60k mileage. I'd have to look it up. I changed mine when I got the car at 54k miles. It's kind of a pain in the butt but not hard, can be messy, I'm glad I don't have to do it often. Like you I was just doing a lot of preventative maintenance.

Thank you. Do the brake sensors have to be replaced when replacing the brake pads?
